There is a lot of misinformation on the web. Why not tackle some of the myths and misconceptions about your expertise by creating a Myth Buster-style video? Get a little geeky, and have a whole lot of fun doing it! Here are our three recommendations for what to include in your Fact or Fiction Video.
1) Who Uses Your Product or Service?
Society can put pressures on us in a lot of different ways. One of those ways is by excluding us from certain products or activities. Not only is this terrible for our psyche, but it's bad for business! Make a video showing how inclusive your brand is. MYTH: Weight lifting is just for men. or MYTH: Makeup is just for women. Show people breaking the stereotype and embracing the things they love.
2) What is the One Thing Everyone Gets Wrong?
When someone makes themselves a cup of tea and then leaves the tea bag in the cup while they drink it, it drives me crazy! Okay, maybe not crazy, but if I owned a Tea Shop it certainly would. Different teas have different steeping times. Find the one thing that everyone gets wrong about your product and make a video to set the record straight. I was today years old when I found out I was making tea wrong. Do something fun and show off your knowledge about your products.
3) Test Out a Myth
Let's get sciencey and do an experiment. Do a side by side comparison of the "right" way and the "wrong way" to do something. Put the myth to the test! Are All Cooking Oils the Same? Test it out with different cooking temperatures, different flavors, and different uses. Take your audience on a journey to find the answer with you.
